False Start

I plotted, I calculated, I cast-on…

first attempt

I multiplied 4×3 and got 16 :(.

That folks, is 54 stitches cast on, since each shoulder should be 16 stitches. Except they should be 12. Which means the dreaded “rip out mohair”, right off the bat.

The knitting olympics gods must be on my side though, because with gentle pulling, the stitches slipped out like butter. The only sticky part was the cast-on!! Huge relief!

And the great thing about the knitting olympics? No penalties for false starts – except time penalties!
