Coisir Tank Pattern

silk/angora (reclaimed yarn)

A basic tank top with a bit of flair. The V-necked stockinette upper is practical, the lace bottom is both pretty and provides shaping without needing side seam increases and decreases. The scalloped bottom edge shapes itself as the lace pattern progresses. The pattern is simple enough to work well with variegated yarn, and everything is knit in the round, no sewing up!

Version 1 has spaghetti I-cord straps. Version 2 has textured knit/purl design straps that are wide enough to cover bra straps.  Finished bust size ranges from 27 to 45″ (requires negative ease) and uses fingering/sock weight yarn, 2.75mm (US2) needles, with a gauge of 28 sts/38 rows per 4 inches – 500 to 985 yards.

Bust dart instructions included – bust darts may need up to 44yards/40metres extra yarn.

The lace pattern is both written out and charted. A brief write up on wrap & turn short rows, i-cord, and 3-needle bind-off techniques included, as well as web links for further info on these as well as grafting.
It works up quickly, and is a great way to use up pretty handpainted sock yarn!
