A V-neck cardigan with lace up to the empire waistline, and side vents. Sleeves are worked in the round, and the main body is worked from the bottom up in one piece between the vents and armhole bind-off. The 8 sizes (finished bust sizes from 32 to 49.75 inches) are divided into two sets of instructions with 4 sizes each for clarity.
The “techniques” section contains short instructions on wrap & turn, 3-needle bind-off, cable cast-on and one row buttonhole with web links for further information. Schematics, charts, written instructions, lengthen/shorten lines, and instructions for optional bust darts are all included. All measurements are offered both in inches and centimetres.
2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm) positive ease suggested.
Materials: 940-1400 yds (860-1280 m) worsted weight wool, 32″ circular and double pointed needles in a size to get 19sts/26rows per 4″ (10cm), 50 inches (1.25 m) ribbon can used in waistband, plus 7 half-inch (1cm) buttons.
